I just started with a small team of wedding shooting is looking for something different usual. I've also done some portraits. As a student, (always a student) that took pictures of a lot of landscapes, animals, farm equipment, especially old and Barnes. Any help would be appreciated. Hi Brian, starting a photography business is the hardest, but once you start building from there then. I would like to create a blog, as suggested above and post your photo there is updated information about you and what you offer on a regular basis. Make yourself known. Photography as a Hobby, Registering a Business name and Advertising?

I have been shooting weddings as a hobby and wish to register a business name so my images if displayed by others can show it. Do I need to pay tax?
I gross less then $6000 / year from it?
The place that prints my images wants to show samples at a local wedding expo?
FYI the business name would be my last name photography, so do I even need to register?
