How am I suppose to cope with this?
I’m 17 years old, alright. I love being me… I have no issues in that what so ever. The thing is though, I’m not all that bright. People constantly make fun of me because I want to be a teacher, and actually help people. Unlike those who laughed at me, I want do something with my life. I say things without thinking… and usually… well….. their kind of beyond stupid. Here’s an example. I got out of photography today with the camera that I’ll be using for the rest of the year. I was so excited, but I didn’t know what that glass thing was. It was beside it. when I asked my friend to help me load the camera, I asked her about it. she told me it was a flash. You know what my response was? “what does that do?” I didn’t mean to say it… It just kind of came out. My own friend laughed at me, and told me this: “I’ll make sure you don’t teach my kids.”
I don’t think I’ve ever felt so bad in my life. I realize that it was my fault…… but I think I’m tired of people laughing. help me.
i think you should be able to trust and believe in yourself i’m sure that’s why people make fun of you. for as long you believe in yourself no one in this world could shatter your dreams. start chasing your dreams and be able to do it.when you are able to attain that dream it makes it a platform wherein you had proven to yourself and everyone around you that you can do anything.
Be optimistic don’t let other people pull you down.

Summer program for a high school student interested in photography, web design, and/or sports journalism?
I’m a high school student (currently in ninth grade) interested in photography, web design, and sports (well, baseball) journalism. I want to find a good summer program that has at least one of these options, though preferably more than one.
For photography, I really just want a studio course that would allow me to use nice equipment and take photographs without much structure, but with instructors nearby for reference.
For web design, I don’t really care. I taught myself the basics and want an opportunity to make my own website.
As for sports journalism, I’m being hopeful here. What I really want to do, at this point, is to cover baseball for some newspaper. I wonder if there’s a program where kids would go to sporting events and write about it afterwards? Or maybe there’s some sort of internship for students entering tenth grade?
I live in Massachusetts. I’d prefer not to travel too far. And I don’t qualify for financial aid.
Thank you to whoever answers this.
sign up at fastweb.com
by the way im not advertising FastWeb but many high schools encourage kids like you to sign up for it. There you just have to answer questions about your interests. Afterwards you have your own page there in which FastWeb finds scholarships, internships, colleges, and majors that match up with your interests, age, etc. im entering a writing competition for an analysis of a book. good scholarship! and there are internships which you could find matching your area or whatever. so check it out, anyway, it will be very handy later in your high school life. why not start early?
yeah photography is cool

What does it take to become an art teacher?
Well I am 16 and I am thinking about what I want to do with my future. I really like art and photography and little kids (babys and toddlers). Well it seems like the art teacher has the most amazing job. She gets to paint her room and be really creative and she gets to do art and such all day. Do you have to have a teaching degree to be a middle/high school teacher?? Thanks!!
If you like little kids/toddlers why don’t you become an elementary school art teacher?
You would get to teach kids art.
It’s a two in one.
You have to go to an art school, and obviously have some skills.
