Basic Photography Rules
Photographer's new?
I recently got a DSLRA100 Christmas from my dad. I took many photos, but recently I realized that I really I do not know what I'm doing. What are the "basic" rules of photography? What I can make my best pictures?
Yes, taking a class is the best .. learning is structured so you do not learn bad habits. You get to talk to other students and the teacher when they are "stuck" and, of course, criticism of the class from both your instructor and classmates can be very useful. Until you can do that, find here a lot of good technical information and speed camera http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech.htm on the web and just look at images you like and try to emulate. Here are a couple of links can start using for penetration. http://www.peteturner.com http://www.blackbook.com http://www.huettenhain.com/mainen.html http://photo.box.sk/

How can I become a better photographer?
I want to take more pictures as a hobby. I did not have much time or money to put in it. I have a digital camera because it is 7.1 megapixels (as follows: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PowerShot-SD1000-Digital-Optical/dp/B000NK8EWI) I would just know the basics of photography, good advice, where to start. Just be aware of the image of any fact, except that I like taking pictures of my art level. (I live in London) http://www.photosolution.co.uk/canon-powershot-sd1000-p-1320.html Sorry, I do not think the first link, so try the second link you just added up, please ^ I'm 18 and do not want a new camera, sorry.
photography in its most basic level is just catching the light in an instant in time. take some art classes that deal with shadows and light and the use of color for impact. You learn to see things from a different angle to improve your photos.
Getting Started with the Basic Rules – “Digital Photography: An Introduction” Vook

I would like to step into the world of photography – Can you give some foundation, basic tips/rules?
I’m 19 and i’ve always been interested in photography……I think I may just pick up the camera some day and go for it.
I live in such a beautiful part of the Irish countryside and everyday I see astouding beauty and I think “someone should get a pivture of that”. Well now I want it to be me.
i have a really c/r/a/p 8 mega pixel; it’ll do for beginning I think.
So any very basic tips for me? Flash v no flash? lighting?…..and anything else.
Thank you all
You can learn composition with any kind of camera. If you can, take a class but most will require an SLR. I would definately start by just going to the library and taking out photography books. Start with something simple like “Photography for Dummies.” Its a really easy read, and you will learn ALOT! And of course read thru you camera manual!
Good luck!
