Why is street photography in B & W? Unable to street photography of color are just as valid?

I've been doing Photographs of the street for a while but I've always done that in the color and I realize that others have (Helen Levitt and work of Esther Bubley of color, for example, or Alex Webb) but it seems that most people seem to think he still has to be done in b & w to be considered "artistic." Examples of my work can be found at the following link. Http: / / www.flickr.com/photos/gideonjamesabbott/

If someone is an artist can use any medium you want and get the results wish. The art is really about talking about their own personal language right brain and saying things that you can not put into words (which is why its vision). If your success, his art speaks that language. It is for the audience to try to understand and appreciate the artist's language it does not matter at all what the medium is photography B & W or color photography, only speak their language through him.

A passion for photography?

Since my father started taking pictures when suddenly hooked me too! I am so excited and Now, just walk in a road or street, I see all kinds of opertunites take the picture, but here .. my camera just broke and I had a Kodak C433 is a good camera relitivly and I bring with me and put it in my pocket, now that I know I want to take better pictures and still be able to use the lenses of my father. I forget what type it is, but I suggest that I see in the barrel Reble (and many small lens oppertuities) What Do You Think for a beginner. I like to think I have the right mentality to take pictures, but I just need the camera right. (Small portable light … a dream beginners detachable lens)

You can save big money by asking your father what camera you have, do not duplicate the lenses or get a camera that is incompatible with yours. If he has a system Canon EOS you are golden .. If you have Nikon, then you should get a Nikon D40 (x) if you want glasses to share.

Is it legal street photography in the Boston area?

I was wondering if anyone would happen now if the image is street legal Boston or the surrounding city? Or if it happens .. if your legal status in Massachusetts? If you are unsure, street photography is essentially to take candid photos of strangers, sometimes with their knowledge, sometimes without.

If you are standing on a public sidewalk, you can legally photograph anything you see, even in the house someone. You can not block the sidewalk with a tripod, or impede traffic. You can not take on the street because it is a danger, and probably can not flash a big bang in his face, temporarily blinding, but otherwise you can shoot anything you can see in a public place. Now there is another issue that could be called "The ethics "or the consideration of the feelings of the people, but is voluntary. Personally, I try to be careful, but just me. What you can do with the image is something else, and covered by a different set of rules. For example, you can not use an image to bring someone to vilify. You can not deform so look stupid, etc, but I think in a legitimate art fair play.
