Need help with buying a new camera?

Here's the thing, I'm not quite sure what I take as my next step the purchase of equipment. Currently I have a Nikon D40, which is a pretty good camera, but a lens of a few I have tried, have not been available, or the AF has not been available (that I need). So I tried trying to find a good portrait lens and came up with Nikon 50mm f/1.4G, originally wanted the Nikon 50mm f/1.4D was $ 100 cheaper and better than opinions, though I later learned that the FA was not compatible with D40. So now I'm not sure what to do, and just think back of the lens and possibly selling my D40 and trying to buy the D90. I have a picture of a few jobs ahead and only twelve days to return the lens arm me recently, if you have any advice or suggestions please tell me glasses!

Mosvee, you are wrong about selection of Nikon lenses. Is so extensive as Canon, with several lenses that Canon does not have amazing (and vice versa). Nikon has an incredible 14-24mm f / 2.8 super wide, 105mm and 135mm lenses blur control and a 200-400mm f / 4 telephoto lens that Canon has nothing to compare. The 14-24mm, in particular, is so good that outperforms almost all of its main range. Furthermore, Canon has a couple of super-wide lenses faster than normal that Nikon is not in the AF versions at this time. Otherwise, the lines are quite comparable in quality. If you are making money with photography, the D90 would be better, sure. The D200 also on sale at Best Buy for $ 630, and is great as well (I just bought one). The D90 is much better in low light, but otherwise the D200 is slightly better (for me) because is more sensitive. Either camera would be a big jump up from your D40. You have access to all AF Nikon lenses instead of only AF-S. It could also consider a care manual age of 50 mm or 105 mm f / 2.5 lens. They can be for peanuts, especially because you can use non-AI lenses on the D40. The only difficulty is that the measure will not work on anything less than a D200/300. The 105mm in particular is vaunted. Any of the first Nikon telephoto would be great with the D90 or D200. I like my 85mm f/1.8 AF, but the old 105 mm f / 2.5 performs just as well that for a fraction of the price. I keep it to autofocus when shooting sports, however. Everything else is becoming more expensive from there, but certainly could look at the lens used from a place like KEH.

Nikon D40 or Canon Rebel XT 350 OES?

So you want to buy a digital SLR, and I did some research and now I 'm basically caught between these two devices … I am a filmmaker and travel, the camera is used mainly in the area. I have a knowledge suitable for photography and equipment, and I have a budget of about ~ $ 800 (I thought that if I spend 600 on the camera, I will able to get a telephoto lens of 200 others). Anyway, I read a number of reviews and comparisons online, but wanted right after that to see what others thought of previous models. He played a bit with the two chambers and the truth is that the Nikon feels more "solid" but looking at all the specifications I think I lean more towards canon. So yes, any advice would be appreciated. thank you mate

I vote for the D40X. If you 're a filmmaker, you will appreciate the fact that the D40x has a real spot meter and the XT (and XTi) no. The best we can give is 10% "area central part "of the meter. Bookmark this page. He added the D40 because it is not an opinion for the D40X on this site yet, but it is very similar to D40. I added the XTi just because many people, including the camera more recent comparisons. % Http: / / www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_post.asp?method=sidebyside&cameras=canon_eos350d %% 2Cnikon_d40x 2Cnikon_d40 2Ccanon_eos400d and show = All View: See http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40x.htm: http://www.popphoto.com/cameras/3896/camera-test-nikon-d40x. html favorable consideration. I made a comparison of D40X and the Rebel XTi, I'll post here. It would be worthwhile for you to read this, since the XTi is the last "best" camera, then one might expect from the camera some more favorable than the XT. ~~~~~~~~~~ Nikon D40 Canon Rebel XTi vs. The D40X is so new that I do not see decent sample images yet. Can we assume (hope) that give similar results for the D80? Apparently so. Show: http://www.popphoto.com/cameras/3896/camera-test-nikon-d40x.html a glowing review that even compares with a little XTi. I still like the idea that the Nikon has a spot meter and it seems strange that Canon does not. The Nikon is a bit limited in autofocus capabilities and speed compared to the Canon however. Here are some relevant quotes about the D40X: "The noise suppression was generally better than the D80 and much better than the rebels that increases ISO. D40x's resolution is higher than the rebels. "The state of the economy model the D40x does not show the image quality either. At ISO 100, the D40x turned in an average resolution of 2075 lines, slightly behind the Nikon D80 and Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. "Continue on page 2 for direct comparison with the XTi. I'll let you read it for yourself, as it seems lean slightly towards the Canon and I would kill to write this. I'll let the work of Koko. But seriously, these cameras are EXTREMELY close in performance and value. It is true there is a "problem" with older Nikon lenses not autofocusing on the D40, but if you have a bag full of old glasses, it will not be a problem. You go to a shop for real camera and pick up both cameras and see how they feel about their cases. Some people like the Canon and some will love the Nikon. Find what you. You'll be happy with either, but will be happier with one that works best in your hands. Ambico Tripods Review – perfect for amateur or professional photographer grass

The photography market is a crowd these days, with a camera photo technology better and better and more affordable to the masses. If you are an amateur photographer, an amateur with a desire to convert their work in a race a freelancer or an established professional, the key is that you should invest in a quality camera equipment at some point in his career.

Perhaps the most important piece of equipment after your camera is a tripod. For many professionals, this tool is the most important stabilizing the difference between a decent shot and surprising reality. For fans looking to the next level, quality tripod is indispensable.

Ambico tripod are best value in tripods on the market, and the perfect solution for anyone who wants to invest in equipment tripod without having to pay a high price. These tripods come in standard sizes, mini and instantly transform family photos, videos, landscaping and other projects sharp images and professional quality.

In about two pounds, Ambico tripods are extremely light, making the tripod ideal for family holidays, location shots difficult or simply save photography bag in case a Kodak moment. Install the cylinder head allows stunning panoramic photos or pan-slow and steady with a video camera useful for those who do not have the steadiest hands. The head also moves three ways for versatility and features angle Fund with one hand and remove the camera or camcorder. The legs have a quick release mechanism and a central column lock to hold the tripod as stable as possible – that's why you need a tripod in the first place, so a big advantage.

Tripod mini version provides all the features and the same value, portability further. Although most Ambico tripod extends to 54 "mini tripod extends Ambico 4.5", making it perfect for configurations table or easy storage in your camera bag or day.

Ambico tripods are much cheaper than most tripods in the field, provide portability and stability enough to be a great value, but there are compromises when you are cheaper, lighter tripod. It is certainly not the model robust, with a tendency to break legs and swivel head. The same is true of mini versions. Increased investment is obviously going to buy a better product, but Ambico tripod works very well for the march and shoot a good performance below the minimum for moderate use.

This is the ideal tripod for the photographer amateur who wants to increase their photography to the next step. It also has many advantages and disadvantages, but it is a prime ideal tripod and better information on progress foot.
