What is the best laptop for an international traveler?
I need to take a computer with me for school projects but am always in a different country.i was worried about the voltage diffrence ruining the computer after a while at the different voltages. I need one so i can play computer games (online community games that need high speed) and still use for school projects 9the microsoft and photography applications. i would prefer to spend less than $1000 on one so i dont feel too cheated but its fine to be a bit higher. I have tried the few companies i know (apple and dell) and found nothing that fit me right. thanks for any responses beforehand.
I have no recommendations for you as to brand of computer. But I have lugged my laptop all over the place and leaned that weight really is an issue. The lighter the computer, the better.
That would be my only advice. When you have to pull your computer and roll along through several terminals…you’ll be glad you chose a light one.

What is the best laptop and desktop available on the market right now?
I do a lot of online courses, photography(Photoshop, Dreamworks, other photography and graphic design programs), gaming (World of Warcraft).
Therefore I need a LOT of memory and RAM… please help 
I want the desktop for gaming and photography mostly, but I’d like to also do it when I travel with my laptop..

lenovo is nothing but pro. thinkpads are the gods of laptops, and their desktops are just as good. i have a thinkpad r40 from 2000, its still running strong even with CS4 on it.
