Pro photographers: lighting equiptment What is most needed to get serious with photography?
I'd take my picture to the next level and want to get some experience with professional lighting techniques. What light types, umbrellas, etc. are the most basic and important?
Basic – three lights, one filling, one of the keys, a backilght – constants are good for this. Add two flashes and umbrellas as well. It really depends on what they are shooting. The constants do not have to be expensive cheap 500w will do, get some blue gel and a piece of fabric media. a

You need an image editing program. It is preferable to Adobe Photoshop CS5, but it is very expensive. A better choice would be Photoshop Elements (current version is 8), which is smaller cousin Photoshop – can not do the same things, but it is much cheaper and perfectly adequate for most people. Other editing programs, you can get is the Gimp (Free and legal). It is not pretty, has a big learning curve, but it is an excellent program. What is the best picture in place to take pictures of real products, without the flash to reflect on them?
My girlfriend is a photographer and was invited to take pictures of products (hard drives and the like), but it was not the best application to use for the flash are not reflected in the products.
