Tips on a photography website. What Do I need?

I’m planning to make a website with some photos I have taken. These photos contain random landscape, portrait, almost anything. Can I get some tips on a creative website but BASIC. I’m not too advance on creating a site. Like what kind of links/navigation, colors, size, font, etc. Just throw whatever you know about photography websites! THANKS!

Try the templates they have on Weebly. Very easy to create a website that goes “pop”

which is the best text book for digital photography …mainly to do with wedding portraits ?

I am looking for a text book for digital photography giving tips on how to enhance images etc

I’d find any book really answer your question because books is too slow to catch-up today’s digital photography. Website or magazines may help you, for wedding and portraits photography knowledge, I’d recommended PDN magazine.

Outdoor Digital Portrait Photography tips for a beginner!?

Im going to be taking some pictures of some people in our outfits for my hubbys website. It will be done outside, with my regular digital camera, a Lumix Panasonic DMC-FX9…It has zoom, and the little Icon options are a flower, a heart, SCN, and regular camera. So I know Im no professional, but Id like any tips you have for shooting people outdoors. What settings, what time of day, etc. Im in sunny hot AZ…any tips or resources would be welcome! Thanks!

If your camera has portrait mode use it to blur the background. Watch for things growing out of peoples heads like power lines, trees (cactus branches). If anyone is wearing glasses watch for glare from the lens. Take the photos at dawn or dusk, not midday in the desert sun. Watch for sun flare off any metallic surfaces that might be nearby. Even though it is sunny use the flash to avoid harsh shadows and the “raccoon eyes” effect. Avoid having your subjects facing the sun, if you can position them so the sun is off to one side of the group at about a 45 degree angle or behind them- if the sun is behind you, the whole group will be squinting and not smiling. Take lots of photos at different angles and have the group do different poses (use your imagination) :-) Most of all have fun and enjoy the shoot!
