What is a good Photography magazine?
What are some good magazines that gives you tips and shows pictures of the month or something and that holds contest and stuff?
A great magazine with legitimate contest is Photographer’s Forum. It’s a really nice magazine to look at-lots of inspiration. They have 2 contests per year, one for college students and the other is open to anyone. You can read more on this magazine at www.serbin.com.
The following are magazines that I like. The ones toward the top of the list are a lot more commercial in my opinion. Towards the bottom of the list the magazines are little more artsy. They all have contests though. Check out the web sites to get a feel for the content of the actual magazines.

ideas for a local photography magazine?
i would like to start a local photography magazine for people with great photography, but arent appreciated for it. i need ideas on what sections to have. theres going to be tips, great artwork for the month, maybe some real photographe rinterviews..but what else?
an online publisher. theyll print them and mail them to me, and all i need is people to pay for them in advance. once its established maybe ill go a more professional route. its not going to be a regular subscription magazine unless it becomes really poplular.
Sponsors….how else are you going to pay for all the printing, publishing, and marketing?
