I have been recommending the Fuji FInepix S1800 on sale on amazon.com for about $152.00. It is a great value. An all in one camera-does not have interchangeable lenses. But the zoom more than makes up for this. Plus if you get a camera of this type put the neck strap on and WEAR the camera around your neck! I am tried of telling young people that their recently dropped camera is ruined and not repairable. Young people drop their cameras by thinking it is “cool” to carry the camera by the strap in one hand. Somebody bumps into you, or you walk into a stiff surface like a wall, the camera is dropped. And so is the money that bought the camera. Today’s digital cameras do not drop well. and 9 time out of 10 the camera is not repairable. Please, please be careful.
