Why not Ken Rockwell practicing what he preaches?

When discussing the possibility of investing most of their money in the camera body or lens, Ken Rockwell quote: "… always put your money into your lenses. This is because the lenses have much more to do with image quality and ease of use … "Http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/lens-or-camera.htm later, I found this in another article." With a more reasonable budget I would suggest the 18 – 55, which can be obtained with a camera in a kit is cheap, about $ 140, and performs as well or better. the more expensive 18-70 ($ 330) and 17 to 55 ($ 1,500) lenses. There is no reason you can not make tens of thousands of fantastic images with only 18 to 55 "digital http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/nikkor.htm # I. Ken Rockwell has always had as a valuable resource for my photography, but this made me wonder. What do you think? I'm reading this wrong or something? Perhaps the first article focuses on the resale value of the lenses.

Ken Rockwell is nothing special: just a picture with a lot of time and money in their hands. I realized his comments too, saying get the kit lens 18-55mm f2.8 Nikkor 17-55mm. Sharpness wise, they are identical, but can understand why a professional to go through the 17-55mm. And in his "review" of the new Nikon D700, which was really harassment, saying he was an amateur camera. Definitely not true. In short, I take seriously his criticisms, but his advice.

Which is more and better in the photo? Ken Rockwell or fhotoace?

Both are excellent. Who is better?

Ken Rockwell has linked Fhotoace the site as often as it becomes difficult to distinguish public ;-) Ken Rockwell goal is for new users. Rockwell has a gift for explaining things simply and enthusiasm, and your site has helped thousands of people make decisions to buy or simply digital phgotography understand a little better. The disadvantage is his writing style that makes your site almost useless for advanced users. The effect may appear as Nikon fanboi and discounts are sometimes misinformation can be dramatic. Personally, I do not use their site unless a second opinion or even a third – and yet I took Articles with a grain of salt. Alternatives, see some of my own news sites go to my profile. Fhotoace Give me all day. He knows what he at least as well as Rockwell (probably better – unlike Ken Rockwell, Fhotoace is a professional photographer), he is so generous with their information, and assumes its readers are idiots!

what matters most? Lens focal length or speed?

I am looking to buy an ultra-wide lens for my Nikon D50. im deciding between Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 or Tokina 12-24mm f4. Ken Rockwell, the site said 11 to 16 is much better than the 12-24mm lens, but I'm not basing my decision on this (even if I could MP 10 to move to a help for clarity). The 11-16 is $ 170 more. I love night photography and im wondering if the extra stop is worth sacrificing half the zoom range and $ 150?

If you do this type of photo (on a tripod) http://www.flickr.com/photos/little_pooky/2292613810/ Then I'll take one is clearer in connection faster. However, since f 2.8 is better depending on what you have mentioned, would be one to buy.

Aimed primarily at the serious hobbyist or business professional, the Digital Photography Bible functions very well as an introduction to taking, retouching, storing, and publishing digital photographs as well as choosing equipment and software. Rather than a step-by-step how-to on a particular application (like most books in the Bible series), this one is more of a discussion of the many differen…
