Can someone please help me create a filing system for my chaotic job!?!?

I recently got a new job working for a sports photography business. The owners told me that the previous employees had been fired because they were failing to process orders & they kept losing order forms & other essential information. I’ve been working for a week now but I can’t seem to develop a filing system that will help me to find things easier while maintaining order. I can’t seem to come up with a way to keep the orders that are being processed seperate from completed orders while keeping the processing orders in order from urgent to least urgent.

Use three separate bins to indicate new unprocessed orders, work in progress orders and completed orders. Use a colored 3/4″ round dot label to differentiate the degrees of urgency of each project. Such as fluorescent orange for the most urgent projects, red, yellow and green. The bins and labels can can be purchased at your local office supply store.
