Post-Mortem Photography?
Does anyone know anything about, or have any experience in this area? I am writing a play on the subject and would love to talk to anyone knows about the historical roots of this custom, has done any modern work, or just has any personal experience. I’ve done all the googling and research, but I would to hear anything anyone has to say on the subject.
Please check out Sally Mann’s photography “What Remains” from Corcoran Gallery in Wahing ton DC. She is famous. These photos were done at the Forensic Anthro dept. At the University of TN. Also check out Andre Serrano’s photos “The Morgue” also famous.

On the ontology of photography post-mortem?
I can hardly understand what ontology is extreme because my teacher seems to forget we are students of photography and I never touched the metaphysical, and still wants to include this term. I am writing a essay on modern photography and post-mortem would welcome comments and ideas on how it could include the idea of ontology dissimilar for I do not quite understand …
This is perhaps the closest you can get to photograph the non-being, ontological and therefore a negative way, as explained in terms of light and darkness.
