http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3TYZ4tclzk

is there an acutal name for this kind of photohraphy?

and if anyone knows what kind of education you would need after highschool?
k welll eeeerrr.
they arnt like modeling clothes.
its because they just filmed the movie twilight.

Photography classes cover quite a bit. You can’t say I want to get into this or that, and only specialize in one thing. Being a fashion photographer, for example, means they make you a photographer first, and then you learn about fashion shoots.

There is a lot more to photography that you might think. You can very easily major in it at a university and get a four year degree. At a minimum, work towards an Associates degree at a community college.

What do you think of my friends Photography?

My friend is trying to get in to photography he is 18 and pretty new to the world of photography please what this video of some outdoor portraits he has done of me. We would appreciate feedback!
Thanks!!!

The bulk of them are pretty holiday snap shot-ish, but there were a few in there I really liked;
The pics at the following times were my favs :) ;
1:01> I really like the contrast and lines in this pic :)
1:12> This pic has a warm feeling to it, even though it was obviously cold :)
1:44>This is a really nice portrait, its a good pose and angle for you :)
2:05>My fav above all, this pic has a sinister feeling, kinda reminded me of Amityville horror :) It is also a great angle shot :D

Overall they were some good shots, but nothing that was particularly jaw dropping :)

ADD: I like your superhuman vid :D

do you know about photography cameras?

Hi!
On the documentary of Annie Leibovitz: “Life through a Lens” she uses several cameras for according to what she is photographing.
I needed to know why she uses that particular camera in that case. What are the characteristics (technical aspects: photographic objective, camera and film formats, etc) of the camera, that are adequate for that kind of picture that she’s taking (considering that she takes portraits, fashion and landscape pictures). If you can tell me, I appreciate.

The 4 cameras are in the 3 parts of the documentary:

Part 3:

camera 1 – 5:07 and 5:38 you can see better.

Part 4:

camera. 2 – begins at 9:48 (in the end)

Part 5:

camera 3 – 5:51
camera 4 – 8:14

tks.

1) SLR (apparently a miniature format) with telephoto lens. Versatile, portable, and works well with longer focal lengths.

2) Medium-format SLR. Far more versatile, somewhat less portable, and gives a lot more detail with greater enlargement capabilities. Also a bit heavier. Preferred over miniature format for studio shots, which is exactly what she was using it for.

3) That’s the same camera as the last one.

4) Again, the same camera. If not the exact same one, then at least the same type.

You can use any type of camera for pretty much anything. They all have their pros and cons, though. Common formats are 35mm, 120, and large format (4×5, 8×10, et cetera). Types include SLR, range-finder, TLR, compact, and view camera. View cameras are large format, and you can attach different backs to them for use of 120 roll film and the like.

There is so much more I could say, but it would be better if you take that info and do some further research on your own. Especially considering it sounds like you’re doing some kind of project on the topic. To answer all of what you are asking, I would basically have to write my own essay.
