Vaio notebook for work and play?

I have to get a notebook quick for my school as they require it.
However,apart from that i’m planning to use it for running of macromedia and adobe photoshop and as well as digital photography.
Ocassionalyl i might wanna play games like the new Command and conquer 3.
It uses NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7400 notebook graphics processing unit (GPU) and the Total Available Graphics Memory(Max) is 319 MB.

A guide for photography that lets you interact?

i remember a long time ago i found a guide to photography some where, and it would let you change the settings, move the picture, etc. and show you the best way to take the picture, giving you tips along the way, etc. it was really nice, with good quality, and id like to do it again, but i have no idea where i found it or such, it was long ago. so i was wondering if anyone knows any kind of website that gives you a guide for photography, that you can kind of “play” as a game, type of thing. or any really good/helpful guides online.

What computer and features should I get?

I am looking to buy a new laptop. I go to online school and need to be able to quickly access the internet. I also do a lot of photography and enjoy playing a video game called the sims 2 ( I have every expansion pack ) That is simply what I would use it for. I was told apple was the best. What kind of computer should I get and what features do I need? Please use detail
I don`t know if it matters but I was thinking Dell or Apple because I get about a 15% discount with them.

Look for a system with a decent amount of memory (at minimum, 1gb), a decent amount of hard drive space, and a dedicated nVidia or ATI (not Intel) graphics card that does not use shared video memory.

Appls are decent but overpriced compared to a Windows system with similar specs; if you have the extra mmoney, go fir it, you could also try Dell for a semi-decent laptop.
