Can someone recommend an affordable digital photography lighting kit?
I’m thinking of getting my girlfriend a lighting kit for christmas, for her digital photography that she’s doing in college, and plans to do professionally. They have light kits at her school but she wants her own to be able to use whenever she wants, and also after she is out of school (strobe and constant at least). Is there any affordable, good quality “all in one kits” or something like that out there?

Soft box and a strobe for a Fashion photography?
Hello
I am looking for a soft box or a soft stripe for a fashion photography full size of a body).
Do you know where can I find it? And also, could suggest me the approx. watt power for a strobe.
I have Nikon D60 and would get a wireless trigger or something like that to manage the strobe(flash).
Do you think the flash ring will do a good job?

A good strobe is something like alienbees. See them at

They have strobes, modifiers like soft boxes/umbrellas and wireless triggers. It might be a bit of a shock to you system when you see the prices though, but it is good quality and will last.
Online stores like http://www.bhphoto.com and http://www.adorama.com both have studio lighting sections where you can browse less expensive and more expensive gear than the alienbees.

what are strobes and flags used for in photography.?
How are used supposed to set them up when taking pics.Also is there a diagram on the web that can show me the set up.
I am going to assume when you say flags, you’re talking about the reflectors and screens used by photographers to modify the light for their portrait shots. To be honest, there is far too much involved to even start with here. Do a Yahoo or Google search for “photo lighting setup” and you’ll get a lot of links such as http://www.studiolighting.net/ which is a free sight set up just for your question. Good luck.
