strobe light kit for photography that is not firing all the time?
I bought a kit it has an umbrella and a softbox my softbox quit firing. The modeling light will come on but the strobe will not fire, not even if i try to force it. I stopped for a while and tried again and it works. Is there a problem or is this normal

It may have overheated, it may have a short but that action is not normal. Can you contact the manufacturer?

ok! GIVE UP! I just got my new soft box flashes and I can not understand how I put the box of light with the flash: I have an operation like if someone can http://www.studiolight.com.au/sd_softbox.htm help me? I tried to slip the ring on the flash unit, but wouldnt expect: (more of the ring is approximately the same size as the head Flash (flash's body), so …. yes …. help this box Light was administered by the same man that is combined with the flash, so what? must adapt somehow! any ideas?
It seems that the locations of the ring of universal speed little something for the flash with the 4 for connections, then place the light box on this. A provider of e-mail a question to beat here. Chris

Can someone help me with semi-nude photography?
What are things that are most important to remember to make it a comfortable experience and what are good poses? I have done one already that turned out better than I thought, but I am tyring to show that I have made progress from the last time. So any help or helpful insights would be great!

Well unfortunately at this time fellas, I do not have possession of the first shoot – my mac crashed out on me grrrr. So if you just have some general advice or let me know some of your experiences that might better serve me that would be great!
it really depends on what type of semi nude photos you’re taking, and how much skin you want exposed in the shot. trying look at stock photos to get some ideas or inspiration:

i think photos where people aren’t completely exposed, but almost are can be very nice. using sheets, the person’s hair (if its long enough, of course), flower petals, or other small objects make the photo more interesting and can add a lot as well.
and in order to make it uncomfortable, just play it cool. tell them that you’ve taken these types of photos before (i’m sure they have posed for them before). be casual and polite about it, and don’t clam up as soon as they take their clothes off. its often more comfortable for both parties if you instruct them, and just make small talk. showing the person your portfolio of photos from previous shoots may make them feel more comfortable as well. it shows them what you’re aiming for, and in most cases, if they believe your style is artistic rather than purely sexual, they’ll be more opt to follow your directions and trust you when you tell them how to pose and look.
and i’d use a softbox, but thats just personal preference. if you can, try shooting with both and see which one you like more
