i am having a friend come over tomorrow to take pictures of my newborn, does anyone have any unique ideas of poses or props i could use?? she has a professional camera so the pics will turn out great

Family Photo Shoot Help?
I’m looking for some great ideas for our family photo shoot we have coming up in two weeks. Show me your favorite photography blogs, photographer’s websites, family portraits, etc. I would also love some great ideas on what to wear, unique ideas for props, poses, and other advice you have for taking great family photos. We haven’t had this done since DD was 3 months old (she’ll be two in Jan!) and we’re paying a pretty penny for this so I want them to turn out amazing! Thanks

photography question?
I would like to take some outdoor pictures of my 16-year old son. Any help on posing, location, props, lighting, etc. I’ve been browsing photography web sites as well. This is strictly for fun, but would like to get comfortable enough to take his senior pics in a couple years.
The only thing he’s into is paintball and of course music.

I notice quite a variety of poses for girls, but very little variety for guys. Usually they squat, sit on a step, lean on a tree, or lean back on the ground. Is that about it?
Ideas I’ve come up with so far are:
train tracks (near our house);
at a brick wall – leaning against it – one foot propped up;
looking away with headphones in (the view I typically see – LOL) hands in pockets, kind of a moody photo.
Any other idea?
Be diffrent!
depending on what kind of camera you have and what options you have there are a few suggestions. But it all starts with being diffrent.
play with angles, shoot from high or from low. Also consider the sky in the background. Think about the kind of clouds that you see. Also if you have a SLR camera and can adjust your settings you might be able to get some great shots just after the sun rises, or sets.
Just look around and think about what you can do to make the shot diffrent from the normal photo.
