Nighttime photography in New York City?
I may be going on holiday to New York in September, and was wondering the best location for night time photography of the new york skyline.
What is the best location that is safe and easily accessible. I have never been to NY City before.

The best place for photographing the New York skyline is from the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge. New Dock Street runs along side the bridge and runs down to the East River. You can get great shots of the New York Skyline, with the Brooklyn Bridge as a frame. Get there a half hour before sunset and stay until after it gets dark.
Still in Brooklyn, a little further south, is the Brooklyn Promenade and the Brooklyn Piers. You can get some spectacular shots from there also, but parking is more of a problem.
Of course, the top of the Empire State Building is pretty nice, especially at twilight. Just get there really early to beat the crowds.
You can get great shots of lower Manhattan from the Staten Island Ferry but the movement of the ferry will probably not be conducive to sharp low light pictures.

Where can I find acrylic sheet (plexiglass) black or white or colored in New York? I’m new in NY and i dont know much… I need them for product tabletop shooting. thanks
