What are Decent to Good paying Creative Careers?

What are some good paying careers that are towards the creative side? I am in love with painting, photography, writing, sketching, and designing…

The best-paying careers I can think of with those skills are interior design, fashion, advertising / marketing, or possibly architecture. Advertising combines writing, designing, sketching, and photography, and if you are really good you’ll never have to worry about money.

fashion photography as a major/career?

besides thinking about fashion journalism I’ve also been thinking about fashion photography.
because I love both so much and they are important parts of my life
but I just dont know!
because for one thing, will I go into the career and the jobs will be limited? so is it practical or is there lots of unemployment?
does it take a long time to work your way up in the fashion world as a photographer and what sorts of jobs would I even start out doing?
please answer if you have first hand experiences and that sort of thing only.

I’m in school for photography now and there are a few fashion photographers in school with me. It is definitely a VERY competitive market, and takes a lot of work but the pay-off is good. You would start out as an assistant to a fashion photographer and that would get you into the field. You would learn a ton, and assisting is something you can do while you’re in school. From there you will start photographing your own models and building a portfolio. Your portfolio will be your lifeline- clients will rely on it.

What majors would be good with a minor in photography?

I’d like to be a photographer, but I don’t want to just major in photography and hope for the best. I think I should find a major that could set me up for a decent career while letting me get a thorough education in photography. Does anyone know what the majors that work well with minors in photography are? What careers could those lead to?

Media, journalism, business studies, graphics, marketing.
