I want to start shooting the picture -> "But how?
Can someone please give me an intelligent learning how to shoot. I can not pay for school, and I really like to start shooting. What camera, how many goals, digital or not, what price range to start, what are shadow boxes and boxes of light? What does it cost to start? THANKS!
I recommend anyone seriously the possibility of buying a new digital SLR camera consider these two main issues: 1. How much money you have to spend?? $ 500.? $ 800.? $ 1,500.? 2. What level of photography what they aspire to a "progress" in the coming years? (That is, basic education, intermediate or professional / commercial use). For most beginners to intermediate I usually suggest one of two manufacturers: Canon vs Nikon 1. Canon EOS Rebel XSi model. (Also known as the Canon 450D in Britain) The "kit" package comes with 18-55mm zoom lens. The camera has flash pop-up, 12.2 megapixels, and shutter speeds up to 1/4000th, ISO 100 to 1.600, 7 modes Scene AE, Shutter Priority PLUS, mesh aperture priority and programmed exposure modes, and Manual. It also has a 3-inch LCD screen, 3.5 continuous frames per second max., 9-point AF system, Live View function and the ability to burn photos in 3, 6 or 12 megapixels in addition to numerous other great features found only on more expensive cameras. Wal-Mart also now sell for about $ 799. Sam's Club also has them for $ 729. I bought one of these six months ago and use it as my "back up" camera. I absolutely love it. I have gotten some great pictures with him and not can praise enough. I usually extend my photos to make enlargements 8×10 and 11×14 size without noticeable distortion or loss of detail in the images. 2. Nikon D-90: If you prefer to use Nikon equipment I recommend the Nikon D-90 which has 12.3 megapixels, 3 inch screen with Live View, ISO sensitivity from 200 to 3.200, 11-point AF system with Face-priority 4.5 frames per second in continuous mode, 5 advanced scene modes for more car show speed priority, aperature priority, Programmed Auto more manual. The D-90 sells for about $ 900-950. (Only the body. The 18-55mm lens an additional fee of $ 150.-175.) In general, Nikon equipment is slightly more expensive than the Canon device, but (with property, both Nikon and Canon cameras) I have rarely noticed the quality of the results of better utilization of equipment Nikon. You may also consider the Nikon D-40 ($ 499) that comes with the kit 18-55mm lens. Another great option is the Nikon D-60 kit ($ 649), which also comes with the lens 18-55mm. These selections are probably the best options for any novice to intermediate skill level, which offers most of the lenses and other accessories distributors and places of purchase. ALL I recommend that beginners buy a good digital photography book and take one or two classes at a vocational school or the Community Education Center in your area. If you can not afford any of this, then I suggest you go to a public or university library and check out some good books on photography. Many libraries have a good selection of books to choose from. There are also several online resources to check out for more for free. Help: education Product Photography (products with hands)?
I plan to do my own DIY light box (see other son). The thing is, I need some photos to have activity in hand with the product – in my case, cameras to activities such as loading and that the film is allowed to work and a bounding box can slow the activity of the hand. I was wondering, what could be the closest solution to take some education of photos on a bright and wide "lights? I have tried to Google search exact string for 'photo' instruction, but could not get a success. He wondered if anyone can help with questions about, or what elements (power in watts of light, etc.) to buy. Thanks heaps! It would be something like the image below (but much more refined): static.photo.net/attachments/bboard/00N/00NuGv-40791784.jpg
A softbox is ideal for product photography, but for various reasons, not what you have to make is what you want. Try this: Go to store Structural materials and get two pieces of insulation boards with the silver side. They are 4 'x 8, I think. Tape all with tape on the long side. This will give what is called an end of the book, or a reflector V. Get ripstop nylon, white, uncoated, wide and 10 long. Get a lightweight height adjustable, with two lamps, which give you a choice of 1000 watts (both lights) and 500 watt (light). Get 'A' tongs, about 6 should do. Use the silver side of the mirror V / Bookends, turn out the lights inside the V faces silvery sides and place it on the open part of ripstop nylon V and clamp in place. Turn on the lights, and do not let them touch nylon – the lights are hot. At 90 degrees, you get a very soft light that can be modified with a rebound (sheets, foam board base) and other techniques. For adjusting angle V, the distance the lights of the question, whether the face is lighted lamp in the front or nylon and the lamps in the mirror, you have a system lighting very flexible. You can also use the natural light from a window. If the sun is coming straight out the window, throw a white cloth over it and use bounce lighting for filling you want. If light is indirect can forget the leaf. May Use this setting to take a wide range of subjects, portraits of his shots education. Vance
