able to stay home with him. I wonder if I should look for a job with a more consistent income and photography on the side, or simply go hand in hand with photography business People spend money on: ie, weddings, bar mitzvahs, model portfolios. I throw in some white and black too, that some people prefer. Once you have a good sample of work, developed marketing materials targeted to each sector. Its main dish is that you're talented and willing to work cheap (until you make a name for yourself.) Initially, you may want to market yourself for Mom and Me groups, and other places for children. (The crummy point and shoot shots that parents shop at Wal-Mart certainly not compared to what you offer!) I think no matter where you are, the picture is a difficult and there are plenty of talented people out there. But if you put the time and money in getting your name out there and the expansion of its book, you have a viable shot! Good luck!

Read the Help Wanted ads in the Classified ads section of the newspaper both AJC and the more local papers like the Neighbor Newspapers. Check with fast food places like McD and DQ (it’s not a cafe but they do hire teens), go to any music or art store or small cafe near you and fill out an application. Dress nice but not super dress up, take a list of people you have already asked if they will be references for you including their name, phone, address, and a list of any work you have done (babysitting, yard work, whatever) where you worked the address and phone, who your boss was and how long you worked with them for example if you baby sat or the Jones family when they needed you from when you were 15 till now you would write on the application John Jones family their address and phone Babysitting then for from and to you would put 2009 – 2011 as needed. You may need to apply to a lot of places because there are a lot more people wanting jobs than there are jobs but some places are going to hire someone so let them know you are available. When you get to talk to them talk about what you can do for them not just what you want. If you can show you are polite, dependable, honest, a good learner that all helps.
