Need photography services ideas! EASY TEN POINTS!?
Hello, I need some ideas for services and rates for my photography business.
I could just go on some other photographers website and steal every single service they offer for a cheaper price but I think it may be a a better approach just to list some of my own.
So I have so far just the basics: formal shoots (on location/studio) personal shoots (ol/s) animal shoots (ol/s) weddings, and a photographer friend even suggested this one to me: baby’s first year shoots (once-a-month shoots for twelve months for a low price such as $150-200)
So can everyone lost me any more that they can think of that I should put in the “services and prices” section of my website that might get me good business?
That covers the bread and butter of a basic studio.
Unless you also offer services that are technical and need more training that about covers it. A good pet photographer in a larger market some times does not have time to do much more. Getting the baby work will have you talking to the hospitals in the area and putting images on the walls of the birthing area with cards up
One thing, do not under cut others prices. Better to be very good and charge more then to go broke trying to play the low price card.

How Much Does A Free Lance Photographer Charge Per Hour?
I’m a starting Free Lance Photographer with 1 yr experience in taking digital photos, and I really need to know how much to charge per hour for my time not including expenses. I’m figuring at perhaps $17 an hour, but I’m afraid that its too low.
I would be doing a wide range of photography like pet portraits, weddings, birthdays, etc. So if anybody has an idea of how much I should charge, it would be greatly appreciated.
I currently live in the Bay Area so it’s a more affluent community; I would be working for very wealthy families and organizations.
On average I’m taking over 400 pics, so its not how many photos, its the time you spend taking those photos and then the time after preparing them. Please dont base this on Spiderman, its rude.
I thought that they go by how many photos they use? atleast thats how it was on spiderman lol
