How Do You Add A Small Bit Of Colour To A Black & White Picture Using Photoshop? (Pic Included)?
If Somebody Could Go Through It Step By Step, That Would Be Great, Thanks
http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2006/12/black-and-white-colour-1.jpg
I’ll describe the method using Corel PSP and you can adapt it to Photoshop which is very similar
1. Make a copy of your original
2. Open copy in photo editor
3. Go to “Image” then “increase colour depth” to at least 16
3. Find the “Capture” or “Freehand” tool and click on it (looks like a lasoo in PSP)
4. Set it to a single pixel and then carefully draw round the object area you want to colour (it helps a lot to increase the size of your photo first to give you a more acurate edge definition). When you link up your start and end position the outline will blink and be surrounded by a dotted line.
5. Add the colour to the area using the flood fill for a solid or the Paint brush to colour just an object or shape. The options are plenty here as with the case of the yellow glasses you could use the “graduation” to add a dark and light side to individual glasses. This requires clicking on the grad. for each glass.
6. Save your completed photo ) the area will still be blinking when you save it but will not blink when you re-open it.
Best of luck

Help with creating a Blog?
I currently have a blog which I created only a few weeks ago. I have many interests (art, fashion, history, books, healthy eating to name a few) and ideas that I like to write about so there’s really no clear focus to my blog (ie photography, politics). I haven’t had much luck with obtaining numerous followers. Do you know of a good blog site(s) that are easy to jump into??
I’m also trying to loose weight, so I’ve been posting my everyday meal plan and writing about my success. I think it has potential, I just don’t know how to really get started. Thanks
It’s not clear what blog service that you’re currently using. Also, getting followers takes some strategy and time; the blog service that you use has minimal bearing on your blog traffic. It sounds like you want to use an easy, automated, free developer-hosted blog site. You can use a social-networking service to blog through, which is more focused on connecting with other profiles. Here are some likely options:
Free blogging services:
Blogger/Blogspot (http://blogger.com ), Livejournal (http://livejournal.com ), Vox (http://vox.com ), Tumblr (http://www.tumblr.com/ )
Free social-networking services with blogging capabilities:
MySpace (http://myspace.com ), Multiply (http://multiply.com ), Xanga (http://xanga.com ), Windows Live Spaces (http://spaces.live.com/ ). Bebo (http://www.bebo.com/ ) and Gaia (http://www.gaiaonline.com/ ) are sites geared toward teenagers.
The first priority might be to focus your blog a little more. You don’t have to, but it’s something to seriously consider. Here are some posts that may help:

As for blog traffic, there are many ways to generate it. You can’t post blogs and expect people to come to you. Effective marketing and promotion will go a long way to increasing visitors. Also, popularity is not just measured in total number of unique page hits or number of followers. You should look for ways to retain readership, beyond a one-time visit. Just visiting and commenting on other blogs helps (popular ones or not). Yet marketing your blog effectively will take time and effort, just like with developing blog content (which should be the priority). Check out the following posts for some ideas:

NOTE: Some web sites or forums have guidelines (like Yahoo! Answers) regarding advertising and/or soliciting via posting external links. Posting against site rules can get you classified as a spammer and/or banned. So, posting your blog link “everywhere” without restriction is not an effective strategy. Again, see the posts above for more productive methods. You can post a link to your blog in your Yahoo! Answers Profile and the Yahoo! Profiles.
You may want to post future blogging questions in the relevant Computer & Internet > Internet subcategory or the Computer & Internet > Programming & Design category.
