Does anyone know a trusted site to learn photography?

I am doing research on the photograph. I need information on the types of photography, the history of it, and photography at the sites of modern art. I am not allowed to use Wikipedia (unfortunately). I need good sources they have a good amount of factual information, not only the typical photography site has galleries and advice. Thank you.
