Photography Grants
Do you know any grants for teens who are unable to buy the best photo equipment?
Well I am a 17 year old boy and i am very passionate in photography and take in school but however i want to do more outside of school but my family is in financial troubles and I was wondering is there any government grants that can help not loans or anything that i have to pay back
Are there photographic clubs in your area? Being a member might get you info about good equipment for sale, but you would still need to earn money to pay for it. At 17, you are old enough to find part time work. Or you could offer your services for special events – Bar Mitzvahs, Confirmations, landmark birthdays (leave your details with retired folks’ homes, with samples of your work) etc.
I don’t know of any grants. If you have some special project in mind, you could ask photographic suppliers or manufacturers to sponsor you.
Good luck !!

Digital Landscape Photography
In a few years, digital photography has become the preferred medium of photography capture the vast majority amateur to photography through high-level professionals. There are several reasons for this:
1. Convenience can see the results almost instantly
2. No processing costs or delays in the laboratory
3. The ability to make corrections to the site immediately if the results are not what was expected
4. Elimination unwanted images is just one click
5. It gives photographers an almost complete control over your picture
6. Cameras have generally become much smaller, lighter and less liked
7. It has never been easier to share images over the Internet
However, with all these advantages, landscape photography is also become more complicated in some respects. To be fully fit for the complete photographer, now must have a computer system for storing and processing of images, and to complete the picture, a printer must also be added to the facility to print images. So not only must be able to use your camera but it also must be prepared to learn to use computer programs, and generally have some knowledge of the pixels, file size, crop, sharpness, contrast and manage the overall color. It has opened a whole new set of opportunities and / or problems for many people.
While the setting for the digital landscape photography is probably less expensive than the use of film in the long term it is certainly more expensive in the initial framework, particularly for the professional photographer, whose needs will always be much more expensive than the average point and shoot amateurs. However, in the case of professional digital photographer, the development costs quickly debunked.
Some have argued for years that the results numbers are not as good of film images. Until about as little as 3-4 years ago, this argument has a large body of evidence to support that even today, has shown conclusively that at all levels of the cameras available to the average person on the street, until the cameras highest professional quality, digital photography has taken the lead in quality. It has never been to shoot a high universal. With all cameras in every car today, in the most cases, it is difficult for people to take photos technically poor. Digital photography is much more forgiving than the film ever has.
The downside of this technology was rapidly changing the speed of redundancy that has accompanied it. The growth characteristics and quality of the catch cameras has made at least 9-12 months of age who lost most of its value, simply because a new model has come on the market that is usually not only much better but also cheaper. At the time when film cameras were the norm, we can be sure of resale value, which is most of what happened in the device, even years before.
