okay, I’m going to an absolutely beautiful place in France in a few weeks and I’m so excited, I’d like a camera to take some holiday snaps and that will last a long time afterwards, i’d get a plain disposable camera if were just for my holiday but i’d like to do the pictures justice.
I am also very interested in photography and would like to get into that I’ve been using digi-cameras for years but have never owned one. I only have about £20. but im gonna sell a bunch of my stuff that is worth alot but is never used. Whats your opinion on these cameras (I have a plan to save up and found the canon one on sale)-

Forget this site, you will just get more confused. Everyone will recommend what they own. get a couple of digital camera magazines with Group tests in them and get an unbiased opinion!
