Whats some good (proffessional) yet easy photo editing software?
I’m trying to get into photography more, it has always been more a hobby than a profession but am looking into going proffesional soon. What is some good photo editing software that I can start with? I tried Photoshop CS4 or soemthing and Lightroom but I couldn’t figure out how to use some features. I mainly want like effects like black and white, sepia, focused color points..like (black and white and then a burst of color..sorry I don’t know the technical terms.), and retouching of course too.. I want something I can play around wtih a little bit…Any ideas/advice? Cheaper is better since I’m just starting out…easiness and lots of different features are really what I am looking for though! Thanks!

What are some good plug-ins/software for portrait photography?
Nothing to crazy, just wanting to add a little punch. I’m not into all the crazy effects some people use.
Kodak’s GEM plug-ins are quite good and have a good range of adjustments. This is a retouching program for removing skin flaws.
You can add “punch” buy using the levels tool on your photo program and adjust the mid-range to the “punch” level you want.
