What kind of education or training should one have for a copy editor/paginator position?
I see these type of jobs listed a lot more frequently than my area of study(photography) on journalism job postings and newspaper career sites. I need a job and think this could be something I could get into.
You can’t go wrong with a journalism degree. Know your grammar. Know your AP style. Read everything you can. Become an expert on everything. Take all the design classes. Develop and eye for detail and the knack for boiling down stories in only a few words, for headline purposes. Become an even better writer than the reporters on staff. That’s the only way to correct what they write.
In all seriousness though, also take some web design. Print journalism jobs are becoming scarce. I moved from print to web full time in 2006, and I’m doing just fine.

i need MAJOR help on the carrer im doing. I need to know a usual day in the job, the salary for the job, education you need to have, and englsh requirments for my job ON NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plz and thank u!!!!!!!!!!!
As far as English requirements go, I imagine the ability to spell would be an advantage.
