What are some types of Photo contests I can hold?

I work for a photography studio and we are looking for different contests to hold other than the basic, cutest baby/kid award. Any ideas?

Obviously the contests are to draw customers to the studio.

I always find contests with a theme are best, but that is associated with the Grand prize.

So…
Best use of lighting… Studio Lit Kit Prize
Families at Play…. Vacation Package
Best use of Money… Cash prize
Automobiles… OK that may be too far!

If not these then maybe something unique to your area. A local park / museum etc. You may even get them to throw in some gifts (free admissions etc) because of the increased traffic they will have.

The sky is the limit…. actually your budget is the limit!

Do you men amateur photographers or “beauty contests”? I actually don’t approve of beauty contests for kids. I’ve watched a show on cable that has children’s beauty pageants and I get really annoyed. Fake eyelashes, fake hair and occasionally fake color, fake teeth, etc. and lots of makeup. They look very different in “real” life and sometimes aren’t really cute at all. Why make children look like little sexpots? Remember the one that was murdered years ago? *shiver*

Anyway, to answer your question, try Googlng children’s beauty pageants and the same for teens. That should bring up a lot of sites.

What are some ideas for a photography contest?

Hi, I’m entering a photography contest and the 3 themes are People,Scenic,and Animals its for kids 6-14. This is a really big deal for me because i want to suceed!

Capture something you wouldn’t expect to see. Make the photograph unique; special. But of course, beautiful.
