Career In photography?

I live in Naples, FL and I’ve been looking at schools that offere photography degrees. None of them offer photo degrees, and unfortunately the job that would pay for all my bills (and the price of classes) is over here.
I have always wanted to get into photography, and finally am at a point in my life where I can explore the ideas of going to school, but I don’t know how to pursue it.

Will companies hire you with an online degree? Would I need a degree at all to get a job? Anyone that has done this before, please give me any info you can. Thanks!
Umm, I really dunno what field I want to get into. I was thinking for magazines and advertisements. But I lived in Ft Lauderdale my whole life, and I just couldn’t find a good job like I have now in Naples. So, I mean if something opened up, then I would move back to pursue a degree, but for now, I would need online classes =/

An Ideal Career?

What career could i get? I want to be paid well, and enjoy what I’m doing…I can sit in an office all day but at the same time I want something fun and exciting. i want something medical [but with no blood] or something more exciting like photography. Or i’m not sure what are some good careers out there? Any websites or info i can get?!

Forget about money. Sit down with a notepad and write down every job, career, or activity that is of interest to you or sounds like fun. You could even invite a friend or two to participate. Do not think long about each job or idea. When you have exhausted all ideas, set the list aside for a day or two.
Go back to the list and narrow it down to say the top 10-15 jobs or things you think you would enjoy the most. Forget about money.
Give it some thought and narrow the list down to maybe 5 or so jobs/careers. Nothing is impossible (unless you want to be a famous singer and can not carry a tune worth a flip – even then – there are voice lessons). Think positive! Talk to friends and relatives, they may be able to help you accomplish your dream job.
If you love what you do, nothing else will matter. Money will come, if not self satisfaction is worth more than all the money in the world.
Life is about having fun, contributing something worthwhile to society, and having no regrets.
Good luck.
