Photograhy! What great but decently priced camera & lens would you suggest to start photography?
I want to take more professional looking photos, I’ve never been to school for photography, and I know lenses and camera can run into the thousands, what would you suggest is a decently priced, user friendly, great to start out on camera?
First, you need to understand that the photographer determines how the picture turns out. You must have a good knowledge of light, composition, exposure (f-stops, shutter speed, ISO) and depth of field (DOF) and then practice to learn to develop the skill needed to use that knowledge. This will require a lot of study on your part. Classes would be easier but you can learn on your own. These sites will help with your education:

There is much, much more to taking “… more professional looking photos …” than merely buying a camera. In addition to the aforementioned sites, you must be willing to really READ & STUDY the Owner’s Manual for your new camera.
I suggest the Pentax K-x with the standard 18-55mm lens as a good starter camera. It offers a lot of features for a modest amount of money. At B&H ( http://www.bhphotovideo.com ) its shown for $549.95. The K-x has Live View, HD Video, Double/Multiple Exposure Capability, and in-camera Focusing Motor and in-camera Image Stabilization (IS). The comparably priced Nikon D3000 (which replaced the discontinued Nikon D40) has NONE of those features. None. The comparably priced Canon XS has Live View – and NONE of the other features of the Pentax K-x.
Good photography requires thinking – thinking about the composition, thinking about the exposure, thinking about the light, thinking about the DOF you want and how to achieve it. Thinking requires time so you can ignore anyone who tells you to just go out and shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot. Oh, they’ll try to justify this approach by telling you you’ll be gaining experience but all you’re really doing is learning how to take snapshots since you can’t possibly be thinking about light, DOF, composition and exposure. So I encourage what I call the “sniper mentality” – make one exposure, make one good picture.
Have fun with your studies and learning to use your new camera to make the pictures you want to make.

Graham
Get one of these http://www.visionresearch.com/
Or, get a used 16mm and attach a variable speed motor to it.
I think your clip was done with the DreamMaker 2000.

What is the best type of photography camera?
I really like taking photos. Also Actually I'm good at it. I Only Have a digital camera but i want to get an actual photography camera. I do not know Which type to get. Olympus? Canon? Please help me and give me a link to a Site Where You Can buy the camera (sensible price please.) Thank you!
"Film" not "Photography" camera. The best type is Large Format cameras view. Roll film is too popular. Any major brand SLR camera will do fine. I like Nikon SLRs Because You Have Access to a legacy of lenses That goes back decades. Nikon N90s, Nikon FG, Nikon F3HP and are good choices.
Digital Camera prices rant (and why older models go for so much)
