Photography As A Career
Photography,want it to pursue it as career what can i do along as a back up or something that can maintain me?
I just feel as if I do photography let alone.I can easily go bankrupt.I’m good with computers,writing,design.What other field can i do in order to do photography and something else.I NEED something that has a good salary.please i neeed suggestions,because im a current junior in high school.Please mention the salary if you can.

I live in Miami so I think the careers i want to pursue,I’m fitted in the right location.I’m not as worried for the salary,I just want to be independent and be able to maintain myself.Thank you guys! thanks great advice my mind is clearing up on what i want to do after highschool
Photography is not my main income. During the day I am a mild mannered computer programmer. At night and during the weekends, a pro photographer. In the part of the US that I live, computer programmers can make anywhere between $30,000 to $150,000.
Go to school and major in one thing and minor in photography. Then you’ll have both things.
The college I went too did not have a photography curriculum. So I had to learn photography the old fashioned way…on my own.
You can do photography and just about anything else. You just have to figure out how to get everything to work together.

If you really want to be a photographer and are prepared to put in the hard work why not give it a go. You could start by joining a local photographic group or club – they are usually happy to pass on their experience to new members.

work at a place like Pro-Ex or Ritz Camera. My friend started out there and then became a portrait photographer and now she is working for a local paper as a photographer. good luck!
