What are some career options for an art history major?
I’ve been considering becoming an art history major for a while, most likely with a specialization in history of photography/history of contemporary art. What are some careers that I could get involved in with this kind of degree? I would eventually like to become a museum curator, but I know that that will require degrees far beyond a BA, so what will I be able to do right after graduating with a BA?
Before you think about graduating you need to do some internships. Apply to the museums in the DC area, NY, Chicago…big cities. That will greatly help you. Have you joined any professional organizations that focus on art history? Do so. That is how connections and jobs are found.
Some info here: (you can enter your own search options)

Good luck to you! (college professor)
