I Have This class digital ..?
Well, I'm Awarded an elective for my senior year of college .. digital photography so I Decided (why not?). Whenever We Have class-time to "criticize" people's photos I try to Explain Techniques composition and lighting .. Whenever I do this I get Laughed at and Not Taken Seriously? Their pictures Were horrible and I pretty much Told Them I Could the nicest way. Is this supposed to Be Expected in a photography class? Oh and by the way morons These Are All photography majors and do not even know What bouncing flash is, normally fill flash. What They Had NO idea the rule of third WAS Either.
Sounds to me like you need a MUCH Better teacher, or at least Some One That Maintains standards and control. What you Described sounds much like the little photo club of Which I am a member. We Also bring in pics That are 'supposed' to be up for critique, But it ends up more of a mutual Being Admiration Society, Nobody Wants to hurt someone else's feelings with Serious critique … but … it is just a casual club atmosphere, so it Does Not Matter That Much. In a class situation, Certainly There Needs To Be More Disciplined critique and Expectations of people's work. Probably all you can do is bear it the best You Can .. in the end You Will Be Creating art and They Will Be Taking snapshots crap all Their Lives. steve

Hi everyone! I just uploaded my first real photos that ive taken in the past couple months. I use a cannon digital camera and picnik for a photo edititor, but i think a few are okay. Im a novice to photography and enjoy it very much, so i want to learn the techniques and everything. Can you rate my photos that ive taken already, and tell me any ways i could imporve in my lighting, composition, editing, etc? It would be really great if you did, because i want to blow one or two of my photos up for my mom to give to her for her birthday, and i want them to be the best they can be for her.
