Need help figuring out what type of camera is best for me …?
Currently I have a Canon Powershot A530, my mother got for Christmas two years ago. I've always enjoyed taking pictures but I recently took a serious interest in photography (No, I'm not one of the gazillion ametures they think will be a professional, I have a hobby!) I read some books on photography and enrolled in a class (which is not until fall), but .. I learned a lot in books. Anyway, I'm over my camera … I love a DSLR, but I'm not sure I'm ready. I have a friend who has one has no idea of what is still his photographs are so clear that I think I might be able to handle … but that's a lot of money to spend, so I'm sure. Or theres some time after large outbreaks that I do first? Ok … A little history .. I mostly take photos of my children and my friends, and some landscapes and citiscapes too. I gave as gifts to the images a lot lately … Usually 5x7s or 8×10. … So some advice?
